Redeemed

DISTANT memories of perishable life,
I wander aimless in a world of vain,
Of narrow lanes and sceptical thoughts,
Did I achieve what I longed…?...went in for a search?

…save ecstasy without tranquillity,
Spoken words that aren’t listened,
Prayed prayers that go unheard,
And tears of sufferings for which I yearned compassion…

But then the spring of joy,
With rainbows toppled over the skies,
Came to my vision with ambivalent sounds,
Of the heavenly voice,

“blessed art thee,
come forth to my kingdom of enlightened saints,
to eternity shall thee live,
perish thy body,
forever shall thee be redeemed.”
