There is stillness in the air.
The green bush seldom sways and stirs...
Only that which stands tall enough,
are caressed by the stagnant wind to...tremble and cease.
As clouds turn dark,
eyes open wide to let in further light to see,
and sounds of man made beasts roll to life,
while the Koili's voice fails to sooth frail human hearts,
And amidst the green trees that are too rare to find,
She still rests in some walls across the corner,
and flies low to a naked branch
with silence that resonates,
the stillness in the air,
the stillness in frail human hearts.

Water Splash
The splash of water
rose up after being trampled,
(bits of droplets, here and there)
but as quickly as it rose,
it Fell back on Ground
only to leave a soft moist,
before It wrung the grounds dry and cracked
rose up after being trampled,
(bits of droplets, here and there)
but as quickly as it rose,
it Fell back on Ground
only to leave a soft moist,
before It wrung the grounds dry and cracked
Contour
In the morning, he woke up,
Went places and got back home,
sometime in the dark...
The night came by; saw a downpour,
Cold and fresh.
The lights in his room went off...then on...
He was she,
or he became she,
The lights went off...
It sat in a corner,
mourning...weeping...stranded...
Alone in the cold dark...a cruel rainy night!
Went places and got back home,
sometime in the dark...
The night came by; saw a downpour,
Cold and fresh.
The lights in his room went off...then on...
He was she,
or he became she,
The lights went off...
It sat in a corner,
mourning...weeping...stranded...
Alone in the cold dark...a cruel rainy night!
I EXIST
I EXIST,
YESTERDAY, TOMORROW AND
TODAY,
YET, WHEN I PERISH TO EARTH, I
CEASE THE WORLD,
ON FLAMES BURNING FROM MY
PYRE!
YESTERDAY, TOMORROW AND
TODAY,
YET, WHEN I PERISH TO EARTH, I
CEASE THE WORLD,
ON FLAMES BURNING FROM MY
PYRE!
I stare at the stars
I stare at the stars
Whisper to the air
In subtle thought...I gaze and drown
In eternal death.
Whisper to the air
In subtle thought...I gaze and drown
In eternal death.
No I don't want to loose you...
No I don't want to loose you,
Not even in my dreams,
In those serene nights my eyes should ponder your beauty and love,
Love, love and love with no departures, not a bit,
For in morn when I wake up, I wish to hear your sweet words of love...I love you.
"What would you do if I departed in eternal sleep?"
I would be sightless for I lost my sight,
"Would you walk through even when I'm gone?"
I would if you promise to be back in time.
"But don't you know we all are made to die?"
Indeed its true, but not you, before I do.
But why did you die in my dream?
"That's because you love me till death do us apart."
But angels above, hearken my words,
The gods of love, save my love,
For to what depth you loved, I fail to know,
But if you loved them, I love her so,
To eternity in your nature's course,
To eternity in my dreams and grace.
Not even in my dreams,
In those serene nights my eyes should ponder your beauty and love,
Love, love and love with no departures, not a bit,
For in morn when I wake up, I wish to hear your sweet words of love...I love you.
"What would you do if I departed in eternal sleep?"

KITARP LAMIR
Kingdom that once reigned the sky,
In both the dark nights and days,
Touched by fragrance of colossal breeze,
And filled with love and love alone,
Rage was thus, never to last,
Prodigious indeed was a human’s heart.
Living long the world thus sailed,
Aching yet for water, food and home,
Midas could have touched them all,
Into it must have had turned to gold and more,
Ruthless the act was, the kingdom fell!
In both the dark nights and days,
Touched by fragrance of colossal breeze,
And filled with love and love alone,
Rage was thus, never to last,
Prodigious indeed was a human’s heart.
Living long the world thus sailed,
Aching yet for water, food and home,
Midas could have touched them all,
Into it must have had turned to gold and more,
Ruthless the act was, the kingdom fell!

A Longing Heart...
Till tears run dry,
Till heart does die,
A longing rests inside my soul,
Of a love far from my reach,
Despite the heart that longs your way...
Far away...far away you are frm me,
And I query, as we both gently do,
Would we meet? Touch for real?
Or is it just to end in grief, with departures at ends of both,
Despite our unwillingness...'spite our reluctance?...
Pray my love that love cross barriers of all,
No distance, no days of eternal longing in futile wish...
Wishes...let it turn to reality so dear,
Where fate falters and we create our destiny much dear...
To be with you,
And you be with me,
I'll fight all the odds,
Just to make you mine in both heart and mind,
And where hatred serves to dwell in lives,
I'll swerve the way to make it love!
Till heart does die,
A longing rests inside my soul,
Of a love far from my reach,
Despite the heart that longs your way...
Far away...far away you are frm me,
And I query, as we both gently do,
Would we meet? Touch for real?

Wind
All of a sudden it all faded,
The joy, those laughters that I heard 'time ago,
Slowly I heard that silence creep by anger,
And I prayed not this time, I mocked at self!
The soft thread that weaves those tender flowers,
I made a garland, Look! For you to wear,
In your crownly dress, below the crown,
I stayed dazzled as I looked at you,
I smirked and smiled in joy and clapped my hands...
Hide low! Hide low! I screamed in fear,
To save her from the coming wind,
Yet she scorned me, said I'm a coward,
I was exempt, she got, carried away...
Then I wept for what a folly I did,
I could have pushed her on the ground,
I surely must have had time,
For to eternity I stared that engrossing wind,
It all disappeared in a gush...
The way it came, the way it went,
Then there was, the clear blue sky...
The joy, those laughters that I heard 'time ago,
Slowly I heard that silence creep by anger,
And I prayed not this time, I mocked at self!
The soft thread that weaves those tender flowers,
I made a garland, Look! For you to wear,

A Step to Help
I.
Far away to a distant land,
She had run away from home,
With past behind and present unknown,
In search of future, she had went along…
…along the tides, the sun and shade,
…with years to come, with days to live!
A journey of haste, she took in rage,
Traveling to reign, the world she owned,
Yet her strength crumbled in tears,
When the world she knew, was none, no more.
In despair she cried, and for food she traveled,
Short of money…but she knew no job,
Thence on a street, she cried in pain,
Asking alms to strangers unknown,
Who merrily traveled, ate good and sweet,
Wore cloths oh! New! She wished to steal!
Yet her pain, they failed to know…
II.
Then once when I walked, in joy, I saw,
A poor lady, begging for alms,
Hundreds had passed, never giving a coin,
For a rupee one gave,
Could have eased her pain…
Selfish they were and humanity was lost…
But I, a student, could not just pass by,
For a help in need, is a help indeed,
Thus I gave some rupee coin,
Offered some food, and she smiled to thank,
I felt blessed, merry the sun, shined bright!
Far away to a distant land,
She had run away from home,
With past behind and present unknown,
In search of future, she had went along…
…along the tides, the sun and shade,
…with years to come, with days to live!

Loneliness
The years of solitude, Oh! Eternally new,
With none to be with, save the shadow you own,
What you hear, is what you get,
A throbbing pain in a weary heart,
Loneliness reigns, we cry too harsh!
Oh sorrow! That gentle sorrow, oh no!
It smoothly creeps deep down your soul,
Crumbling your happiness, you’ve stored in joy,
Darkening your pain, you’ve tried to let go…
Loneliness reigns, you cry too harsh!
Motions jaywalk, heart beats fast in pain,
With mind to a distant land, eyes, distract itself to a horizon far,
Far away, we ere an escape,
Wish to retreat, yet pain stands in our way,
For loneliness reigns, we cry too harsh!
“Stop! Oh! Please!”
“Please stop!” I scream,
Hear my pain, for it haunts me down,
A throbbing pain in a weary heart,
Loneliness reigns, I cry too harsh!
With none to be with, save the shadow you own,
What you hear, is what you get,
A throbbing pain in a weary heart,
Loneliness reigns, we cry too harsh!
Oh sorrow! That gentle sorrow, oh no!

Heart’s Echo
Late at night, I heard your voice,
And needless to say, I cried in joy,
Seeking forgiveness, for you are pure,
With it your presence, I now hearken in delight!
Thump! Thump! My heart raced in pain,
When you fumbled to utter a word to me,
Restless I was, insane I grew,
As I looked that joyous way of yours!
Angelic delight! Angelic delight!
Merry, I am in joy,
Smell the fragrance, the air breathes tonight,
Make a wish, for the star is out at night!
Too eternal…too long the way,
To hold you tight and feel your touch,
As I write a word for you oh! Dear,
I feel you close…the distance no more!
And needless to say, I cried in joy,
Seeking forgiveness, for you are pure,
With it your presence, I now hearken in delight!
Thump! Thump! My heart raced in pain,

Shining Star!
For…
Late at nights, I celebrate the joy,
In endless stars that lures at sky,
Deep down below, I stare at her,
Yet from above, she fails to know I’m there!
I smirk! I smile! I scream out loud,
Wishing she hear a willow sound,
Yet she never knows I long her way,
So tonight she shines, the morn, she sets!
The eternal wait, we both then start to wait,
I look up…she looks down…
Shining bright, I find her in sky,
Merry making with her friends, she reckons me not!
Then, one day, it so happened,
In the very night I celebrate,
Something unexpected, occurred to me,
The night, then, felt cold and soft,
Soon the pyre began to burn,
With it my wait, faded to ash…
Thence her eyes, turned towards to me,
Fiercely she cried, brought down the rain,
The star fell down…
I could not catch!
Late at nights, I celebrate the joy,
In endless stars that lures at sky,
Deep down below, I stare at her,
Yet from above, she fails to know I’m there!

Moving ON …a story to tell
In tranquil jest I sing a song,
Of leaving behind the past behind,
With ecstasy I forgive the deeds,
Assuring never to repent the act!
Wandering endlessly, I forlorn the presence,
The joy, the moments…those beautiful memories,
And as I walk along, the crowds are dear,
For moments ago, I bid a presence, a jocund bye!
Farewell to you!
Save to those beautiful memories,
I will cherish them in joy,
Yet never shall I long in pain,
That presence so gay,
That voice so sound…
For I know! I know!
Time passes by!
Moves on with its own story to tell!
Thence in tranquil jest, I sing a song,
Letting go the presence,
Those joyous joys!
Of leaving behind the past behind,
With ecstasy I forgive the deeds,
Assuring never to repent the act!
Wandering endlessly, I forlorn the presence,
The joy, the moments…those beautiful memories,
And as I walk along, the crowds are dear,

Shristi...a creation
For Riza,
Somber sound of delightful voice,
Of pain that pretends a joy,
When thoughts gaze deep down your soul,
It reverberates a thump that chokes a smile,
And escapes mortal confusion and joy,
Crumbling an existence on which we stand,
Casting an elusive ma-gical spell,
Stirring melancholy in the holy grail!
Pour that in a cup so small,
And drink it in a gulp of ‘gust,
Then the world falls to order,
With no chaos, violence and rage,
Save juvenile words that comes from a mouth,
On longing a presence, those eyes then cry,
With restlessness to a million time,
Repenting the deed, tears fail to weep,
As standing alone, you look around,
See what you’ve done…what you’ve wished,
A shadow then merges with it in joy,
Never leaving until worlds die!
Somber sound of delightful voice,
Of pain that pretends a joy,
When thoughts gaze deep down your soul,
It reverberates a thump that chokes a smile,
And escapes mortal confusion and joy,
Crumbling an existence on which we stand,

Melancholic Joy
When in anger a voice, longs to smile,
Longing ways to reach the sky,
Upon the stars and screaming out loud,
Fulfilling the wishes for you are mine,
As we travel to time and more,
From present to future, with past behind,
I reckon then, your face so gay,
That cheerful voice, that smile and jest,
With whose presence I have climbed,
Reached the stars to make you close,
And spreading my arms wide open in joy,
I hearken the thoughts of insane crowd,
That endlessly fight and never cease to fade,
Striking the cliffs with the waves,
As I tremble, we both feel frail,
Wishing to rise to a step of strength,
To fight back the life, owning it for long,
Amongst the harshness of the time,
Between the smiles and the pain,
Thence,
When in solemn nights I long your way,
I reach the stars and hold the sun,
Making it run to get your warmth!
Longing ways to reach the sky,
Upon the stars and screaming out loud,
Fulfilling the wishes for you are mine,
As we travel to time and more,
From present to future, with past behind,
I reckon then, your face so gay,
That cheerful voice, that smile and jest,

Blackout!
For Riza,
The crude nights of fading joy,
Troubling marks of pain and grief,
Solitude that ere a presence,
Repenting the deeps with imploring voice…
Your tears I recall,
That colossal smile echoes in my heart,
Wishing to hear that joyous voice,
I wander places, yet fail your touch…
Journey of rudeness…harshness and agony,
Of trifle mistakes that forms a mountain,
When in anger we both screamed,
We lost a friend…a bond of strength…
“Time! Oh Time! Stop!” I plead,
Refrain the act to drift in joy,
In endless fragrance of eternal spring,
In endless fragrance of eternal spring!
Frail bond, was it I ask,
That faded in the blowing wind,
With the rain soaking a cadence of flame,
Upon the anguish and the pain!
Hearts are heavy,
It pounds to long,
That gentle voice…
That gentle touch…
Someone I loved,
I lost in vain,
Amidst the nights of darkness,
Causing a blackout…
A stir and silence…
The crude nights of fading joy,
Troubling marks of pain and grief,
Solitude that ere a presence,
Repenting the deeps with imploring voice…
Your tears I recall,
That colossal smile echoes in my heart,

Sleep…Endless Sleep!
Sleep…endless sleep,
Too weary the eyes, it now seems,
As they stare and gaze to the morning light,
Waiting for the night to fall…
Tiresome body on a hectic day,
Wandering here and there for a day’s routine,
Foreseeing the chaos, agony and scream,
I am waiting for this day to end!
Silence is a humor when the sun shines bright,
Patience is a folly while deeds are prejudices to rest,
Maddening crowds squander on paths,
As they wait for the night to fall…
Somber nights where the nightingales rest,
The bats rule over the sky,
As they intently wait for their prey,
I fall asleep…to an endless sleep!
Too weary the eyes, it now seems,
As they stare and gaze to the morning light,
Waiting for the night to fall…
Tiresome body on a hectic day,
Wandering here and there for a day’s routine,
Foreseeing the chaos, agony and scream,

Lost in Cholera
I heard the day’s news,
160 dead…a few troubled,
Then my thought to you reached,
With melancholy, Beloved, Oh! Mine!
Are you fine?
In that distant place;
Away…far away,
Days to reach…
Troubling are these times,
As I write a letter to you,
One added to the toll,
Pray you hearken my words…
For Beloved, a distance saves my health…
A distance tries to touch your skin…
I fail to write!
I shake over…over and more…
Something pierced my ears and heart,
I wish to speak, words choke within,
One new number again to list,
The name revealed,
Oh! what a pain!
Tears all down these eyes;
As they stick to the TV box,
Hearing what they say,
Rejecting what they say,
NO! NO! NO WAY OUT!
LET ME END! LET YOU READ!
T.I.M.E.! S.T.O.P.! FREEZE
I will run,
Snatch you when you’re gone…
NO! You’re NOT GONE!
NO! YOU’RE NOT GONE!
But you are ………………………………………
